If I could stop time,
Only for a moment,
I would rest.
The world spins by
In and out of focus
So quickly,
And I want to be a part of it,
To be deeply in tune
With every twist and turn
And gravity defying drop
Life has to offer.
Alas, this body of mine is weak.
It requires sleep
For at least a third of my limited chance
To do and feel with others.
If I could pause time, I would rest
So that when the clock starts again
I can live in the moment,
Completely awake
With crystal clear vision.
